This policy describes the current Llix macOS app and this support website.
Data processed by the app
Llix reads the TXT and DRM-free EPUB files you choose. It processes book text, titles, author information, covers and chapter information to display your library and help you read. Search queries are processed locally.
Data stored on your Mac
Llix stores file paths, book titles, library and recent-book lists, reading positions, reading modes, bookmarks, saved text excerpts, notes and selected preferences in macOS preferences storage. An unreadable history may be retained locally as a recovery copy.
Your library refers to the original book files; adding a book does not copy it into a managed library. For EPUB reading, Llix creates a temporary plain-text file and attempts to delete it when the book is closed. An unexpected termination may leave temporary files behind.
Sharing, analytics and tracking
The current app does not send your books, reading history or settings to the developer or third parties. It has no account system, advertising, analytics, tracking SDKs or automatic crash-reporting service. It uses macOS frameworks and the system unzip utility for local EPUB processing.
Files you keep in a cloud-synced folder, system backups and any diagnostics you choose to share through macOS are subject to those services’ settings and policies.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual bookmarks and notes in Llix. Removing a book from the library or recent list does not delete its file or all saved reading data.
To remove all Llix preferences and saved reading history, quit Llix and delete its macOS preferences domain, local.bookreader.tiho. This can be done in Terminal with defaults delete local.bookreader.tiho. This resets reading positions, bookmarks, notes and saved preferences; it does not delete your original books. Deleting only the app does not necessarily delete these preferences. Copies in backups must be managed separately.
This website and support email
This website has no JavaScript, analytics, advertising, tracking cookies or external font services. Visiting it involves sending ordinary connection information, such as your IP address and requested page, to the hosting server.
Before publication: the operator must confirm the hosting provider, server access/error logging, retention period and any upstream proxy processing. These deployment details have not yet been verified.
If you email support, your address, message and any attachments are processed to respond to your request through the developer’s email provider, Gmail. Share only the information you want support to receive. Support-message retention and the legal operator identity must be confirmed before publication.
